What is the meaning of life? This is found in the book of Ecclesiastes. This book is written by the wisest man to ever live. I will cut to the chase with the nutshell of the advice he gives. “The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every deed into judgement, with every secret thing, whether good or evil.”
“All is vanity”, are the words of Solomon that begin the book. Everything is vanity and worthless in the grand scheme of things and there is “nothing new under the sun” that can prove different. Solomon is a man that had the opportunity to test the pleasures that all the world can afford. At the end of the day he says they really don’t mean much at all.
The thoughts and mind of the wisest man will rub off on you and give you a better sense of what the most important things are in life. He talks of the time and place for everything and that working hard and enjoying the fruits of your labor are among the best things that life has to offer. I will leave it up to you to read it and get his full perspective of wisdom and truths about this short life we have here on earth.
